Alright, so here is the situation. I transferred from the northern plains of Moorhead to the southern valleys of Mankato. So far, so good, and so different. I've been in school for over a month now and I don't know really what to say, it's just a lot different. But I like it.
My name is Emma and this is just a random blog I decided to create. I'm a college student in Minnesota. I'm just wandering through life and taking it one step at a time. Take a look if you're interested!

I sort of disappeared, didn't I?
Sorry for disappearing readers, I just sort of disappeared... Well, I disappeared because it was summer.
And now I am in Mankato finishing my senior year of college here. It is a lot different, I'll post more when I have a chance.

Wonderful.
I just watched the last episode of The Office. I finally stopped crying..
It made me think though, I have a whole bunch of wonderful people in life that may not realize how truly important they are to me. I have best friends, I have good friends, and I have a wonderful boyfriend all of which mean the world to me.
But to my wonderful boyfriend,
I don't think you know how important you are to me. You mean the world to me. You're my Jim! We spent so many years not being with each other because we're stupid and you know, deep down, I know you know that we're practically meant for you each other. I hope you realize how much I love you because I do.
That it is all.
I'm sorry for those who had to read the corniness of that.

Summer Time
So far this summer has been a lot of fun and I've only been home for three days. I hope that sets the tone for the rest of the summer!
Last night a couple friends and I went to the local Italian restaurant for happy hour. It was a lot of fun! They have polenta fries and they were delicious. I kept accidentally saying "placenta" though.. But to be far they sound a lot alike..
But anyway, I'm glad this past semester is over! I'm checking my grades as we speak. I'm hoping they won't be too horrible. I know one class will be.. but I hope the other classes make up for it.
Hopefully I do a lot better at Mankato! Here's to hoping!
I'm currently missing my Moorhead friends like crazy though. Blah.

Vegetarian
Okay Kids, I'm going to try one more time to be a vegetarian. Although, I'm thinking I might have meat once a week.
Anybody have any tips on being vegetarian? How to avoid the carb and cheese issue?

The Past Few Days Have Been...
WONDERFUL!
My boyfriend Michael came up to Moorhead on Thursday and just left! It was a super fun time. I am kind of bummed he left, but I will see him on Wednesday! On Thursday, he got here around dinner time and we went grocery shopping and then we made pasta and garlic bread. It was delicious! Friday we went to Best Buy and then for lunch we went to Quaker Steak & Lube. It was delicious. My boyfriend and I are both fans of cars and the restaurant is basically car themed so we enjoyed it. Lucky for us we got to sit underneath the Hot Wheels Camaro! It was kind of funny because the Camaro is the car he wants right now (semireasonable car he wants I should say. He does want a Ferrari 458 Italia). But anyway, it was a lot of fun. Then we made dinner together. Last time he was here I made him this hummus chicken recipe. I found it in Reader's Digest and the hummus is supposed to like crisp on the chicken, but that doesn't happen when I make it, it just sort of melted off and because a sauce. It's still really good though and my boyfriend really liked it. So before he came up he was like, "Can we make hummus chicken??" so we did and it was once again really delicious.
It's really fun cooking with him, I enjoy it a lot. :] It's always nice cooking with him.
Anyway, now he is gone and I'm sitting in my room, blogging and watching Bob's Burgers. Around six, I'm going to Buffalo Wild Wings for my "Leaving Moorhead Good-Bye Dinner". I hope it's fun and that my friends show up. haha.
I need to start eating healthier though!

Random Roses From An Amazing Guy
Hello, hello, hello!
As I was sitting on my bed, watching Full Metal Alchemist, the UPS man stopped in front of our house. Now I have an anxiety about the UPS man because sometimes it is awkward and I don't really like answering the door. But this time he just knocked and dropped something off. So I went to go get it and it was a box with flowers in it. I looked at the name multiple times and they were for me! I couldn't believe it. So I opened it up and there were these gorgeous roses and a vase and a very, very, sweet note from my boyfriend Michael.
Here a couple pictures of them!
This is the note he wrote me with the flowers. I started crying a bit because this is literally one of the sweetest things I've ever received. I hope he doesn't mind that I posted it, but I just want to brag if we're being honest. :] He's such a great guy.
Are they not beautiful?
He knows me so well! I love roses.
I just can't get over how nice they are!
I am just the luckiest girl ever.
Here is the note and the flowers together sitting on my desk. I can't stop looking at them, they're just so beautiful!
Basically, I am one of the luckiest girls in the world. I have an amazing boyfriend who loves me soooooo much and I couldn't ask for more. He is such a wonderful boyfriend and he's coming up today. I am so excited!!
Healthy Livin'
Hey all,
I've been trying to eat healthier lately and eat cleaner! Meaning more lean meat, more vegetables, and more fruits, and most importantly more water!
Yesterday my roommate Meghan and I went to the natural health store in Fargo. It's like my new favorite place in the world. There are so many different supplements and different neat things there. It's a little expensive, but that's to be expected, but it's just a really friendly atmosphere. But I am actually not allowed in there anymore because I am so tempted to buy everything there! Yesterday I walked away with only $20.00 worth of stuff, but that was for two items..
I purchased a bag of Chia seeds, which are amazing. They are an excellent source of fiber and they are really easy to consume. I just put them in some water with lemon juice and drink it that way. But there are a variety of ways that you can consume them. I'm still experimenting, but drinking them is really easy. I drink them in the morning and then like boom, I'm awake!
The other item I got was bentonite clay powder. This. Stuff. Is. Amazing. I love it. You make it into a paste and then apply it to your face and wait 15-20 minutes and rinse it off. I did it yesterday with Meghan and our skin looked radiant afterward! It was like a miracle! But I think it helped even the tone of my skin a little bit, it definitely looked less red and patchy which is always welcome and it seemed less dry. But both of these products just make me feel awake and perky!
But no more spending money!
So if you have some money to toss around and are looking to get healthier, I recommend Chia seeds for sure!
Peace&Love.

Chumley's.
Well today I did something I don't usually do, I went out to a bar. It was exciting because tomorrow is study day at MSUM, which means no class, so everyone was at Chumley's because between 10-11 is two-for-one's. So that was exciting! I had a couple beers and I had a good time.
It was good to have fun and go out. I'm really going to miss Moorhead now the more I think about it. Mostly because all my friends have all of a sudden appeared in my life and have told me how much they will miss me. But oh well. Hopefully I will be happier in Mankato!
But anyway, sleeping time.
Night all!

Nice Weather Means More Walks
Today it was very lovely out. The sun was shining and the sky was blue and there was not a lot of wind. So after waking up and going to the gym, I waited for my roommate to come back and we ran some errands.
First we went to the school to get some money and then we drove to the antique mall, menards, and then target. It was busy, busy, busy! Then we came back and went for a walk for about an hour or hour and a half. It was so nice out!
Here are some pictures I took of our day out:
Here is me, taking a shameless selfie while we were walking!
This is my roommate Meghan.
We walked where the flood was and so there was left over mud, which was very slippery! It also smelled funky..
The flood has gone down a lot, but there's still a little bit hanging around!

Downtown Fargo
Last night I went to the bars downtown with my roommmate and we met up with a couple of my friends. It was a lot of fun actually. I don't really like new situations or being "out of my element" (aka my room), but I actually had a lot of fun. The downtown area is a lot of fun and I'm kind of bummed that my first time there will probably be my last time there.
Anyway, when we first got there it was a bit rainy and chilly and there not a lot of people outside. But once we walked into the bar, it was like a rush of heat and energy. There were so many people! And well, I was a bit overwhelmed so I made my friend go with me to the bar and we got a beer and wandered around until we found a table.
So we were just sitting at this table for a while and then these two guys come up to us and I'm not really sure what the one hitting on my roommate Meghan was saying but oh my goodness, the one that was hitting on me could not take a hint. I will give a rough idea of what happened. .
Him: Hey, do I know you? Do you go to MSUM? What's your name?
Me: I have never seen you in my life and yeah I go to school there. Do you? I'm Emma.
Him: Ohhh, when I saw you I was like, "Oh that's Emma.."
Me: I actually have no idea who you are and I don't think I've seen you on campus.
Him: Well, alright. I'm blahblahblah (I can't remember his name..) You have really gorgeous hair? Do you color it?
Me: Oh, thanks I try really hard. (sarcastic tone..) And I colored it a while ago so now it's growing out.
Then his friend stumbles away.
Him: I should probably go after him.
Me: Probably a good idea. You should go find your friend.
Him: Hey, I'm going to call you sometime.
Me: I have a boyfriend, so probably not.
Him: Well, I have a girlfriend!
Me: Then why are you hitting on me?!
Him: Cause you're beautiful and hot! -turns to my roommate- Isn't she beautiful and hot?
Me: Haha, thanks. But go find your friend. It was nice meeting you..
Like, I feel like it's pretty obvious I was not interested, right?
But anyway, how I get my "gorgeous" hair.
Sometimes after a while a bunch of hair product builds up on my hair and I learned from the internet that if you do an apple cider vinegar rinse, it helps get rid of it. So everyone once in a while, I'll bring a cup of apple cider vinegar, dilute it with water, get in the shower, shampoo my hair and then rinse that out and then rinse with the apple cider vinegar. But you have to make sure to rinse it all out or else your hair will stink! I sometimes find it's helpful to shampoo again after the rinse if you can't seem to get it all out.
Also, sometimes when my hair feels dry I put olive oil in it and let it sit for 30 minutes and then shampoo it out and your hair is so soft afterward.
In case you haven't figured it out, I'm into natural beauty stuff. Or kitchen DIY hair rinses and face masks especially.
That's all I have to post for now so, Toodles!

Friends
I have a lot of acquaintances. Or at least I like to think I do. But I also have a lot of friends, some of which I have been friends with for a very long time. I have a friend that I've known since like kindergarten. I mean, I'll be honest we haven't been friends throughout the whole thing, but we have always found a way back to each other. Even now when we are in college in different states, we still make time to talk and hang out during the summer. I have another friend, Brittany, who I have never not considered her one of my best friends. She has been my friend through so much and I am really thankful for that. She goes to school in Missouri and I'm back in Minnesota, but whenever we talk it still feels like 9th grade chatting on AIM, just derping around or listening to each other's problems. I just think that I am really blessed to have friends like that. Friends that stick around and know that we're still good friends even though we may not talk every day or see each other that much, we're still friends. And it's just an unspoken knowledge that she's going to be in my wedding and she's going to be a part of my life for probably the rest of it (partly because she's hard to shake, just kidding..). I don't know, I guess I'm just really grateful for the friends that I have that I've known for a long time like this. It's important to realize when you have good people in your life and it is important to keep them in it.
First Post.
I was sitting in my comfy cardigan, listening to Bon Iver, staring out the big window in my living room when I decided to create this blog. I'm not really sure if it'll last or if I'll keep up with it, but I decided it was worth a try. So here it is, a blog with no specific purpose but just to post a day in the life of me.
